“I get this feeling”, 2026

15 note musical movement, cedar soundboard, inkjet print of complied images, stickers, hardware, painted poplar, “Everytime We Touch” by Cascada

“I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me
I still feel your touch in my dream (in my dream)
Forgive me my weakness but I don't know why
Without you it's hard to survive

Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling
And every time we kiss, I swear I could fly
Can't you feel my heart beat fast?
I want this to last
Need you by my side…”

The 2005 Eurodance pop hit “Everytime We Touch” is a unique work of art that pairs an airy yet exacting description of the emotional and physical sensations of romantic love with a 142 BPM electronic beat. It and other time capsules of early internet culture tend to show the gaps between where we thought we would be and where we are. So, what is “this feeling”? And why does it seem like everyone else is already flying?
